Hubs typically seem to fall into two general categories: light and very expensive or heavy and cheap. With this typical bike industry paradigm, we saw an opportunity. You see, for years we've been using high-end geared hubs from the manufacturer of our track offerings on our personal bikes. They are very lightweight (peep the specs) and just plain work. We decided to finally make those hubs available to you and corner the market in our own category: lightweight, affordable, and incredibly practical. We've ridden them on all kinds of bikes from the Electric Queen to the Mr. Pink and we're in love. They are reliable, dang light and very reasonably priced. We offer the Go-Devil in a minimal amount of configurations and ship them with all the necessary endcaps and a quick release skewer, future proofing them in case you want to use them on various bikes over the years. Quick Release lever and 12mm thru-axle endcaps are included. On all models we spec high-quality made in Japan stainless-steel sealed bearings. The splined freehubs have 28 points of engagement, the XD driver has 56. Oh, and we've got polished options as well. Kind of a big deal because polished hubs have become a rarity. - Weight: 277g - Includes 12mm thru-axle end caps and quick release skewer - Drive Side Center To Flange 18.5mm - Non-Drive Center to Flange 34mm - Non-Drive Flange Diameter 58mm - Drive Side Flange Diameter 49mm

The Boost 6-Bolt front is specifically for "Boost" disc spacing forks with 110x15mm "Boost" axles. Using the larger diameter hubshell bearing the Boost 6-Bolt is designed to tackle rough terrain and aggressive riding such as downhill and enduro. In an evolving landscape of axle specifications, we are confident that the "Boost" disc location is here to stay. Chris King Boost 6-Bolt front hubs are designed as precision mountain tools. We use one-piece axles to provide a stiff hub with rail accurate steering, transferring every minute adjustment you make to the trail. To thwart mud, water, and contaminants as you power through rough trails, Boost hubs have heavy-duty bearing seals and snaprings, that provide superior protection with ultra low drag. Our bearings, available in steel and ceramic, have heat-treated, surgical grade steel races that are machined simultaneously, with tools of equal wear to ensure perfectly matched inner and outer races. The quality and speed of our bearings is what sets us apart from the competition and they are what you will feel and notice on every single ride. As Chris King bearing tracks burnish they get faster with age and all our hubs and bearings are fully serviceable for years upon years of demanding use. - Steel Bearings - Engineered, manufactured and assembled in Portland, Oregon USA - King Lifetime Warranty - Wide flange placement - Fits 110x15mm Boost axles - Legendary made-in-house LD bearings - Easily serviceable with a 2.5mm hex and pick or pen knife - Completely re-buildable with our Universal Hub Service Tool - Responsibly lightweight - Ceramic bearing upgrade available - Available in 28, and 32 hole spoke count

WHY WE MAKE THIS Originally, we made this hub to be the cornerstone of our hub product line. It was one of those product releases where we put all our hub and bearing experience into, and ended up with a hub that struck that perfect balance between weight, performance, durability and looks. Since the advent of disc brakes (and the R45D), we keep making it, because it’s still that cornerstone hub, and so many of our riders still love to rock their rim brakes on road and off. WHY YOU WANT IT The R45 front hub is lighter and more aerodynamic than most built-to-last hubs on the market. We use a narrow hub body and low flanges to make the R45 a rock solid starting point for any fast wheel build. Our bearings, both steel and ceramic, have heat-treated, surgical grade steel races that are machined simultaneously to ensure perfect matching. The quality and speed of our bearings is what you will feel (and hear) on every ride. As Chris King bearing tracks burnish they get actually get faster. A little bit of regular love (i.e. service) will keep this hub rolling for years upon years of demanding use. -Steel Bearings - Engineered, manufactured, and assembled in Portland, Oregon USA - King Lifetime Warranty - Legendary made-in-house bearings - Easily serviceable with a 2.5mm hex and pick or pen knife - Completely re-buildable with our R45 Hub Service Tool - Available in 28h and 32h - Ceramic bearing upgrade available HUB SPECIFICATIONS - Axle Width: 100mm - Flange Diameter DS & NDS: 39.8mm - Center to Flange DS: 34.8mm - Center to Flange NDS: 34.8mm
