This electric pedal assist bike will get you to the singletrack and up the steepest climbs, encouraging you to explore new routes and take the long-way home.

The YDX-TORC is Yamaha’s 27.5-inch hardtail that offers aggressive performance and fast, agile handling. It’s powered by the PW-X drive unit, which represents Yamaha’s lightest and most responsive pedal-assist system, designed to deliver a totally new mountain biking experience. Five levels of assist provide power for every situation in a way that feels smooth and natural—Yamaha calls it “Pure Ride”, and with one ride you’ll understand why. The system’s ergonomic control switches are large and easy to operate in all types of conditions, including while wearing mountain bike gloves. Yamaha’s 500 Watt-hour Lithium-ion battery pack provides reliable & long-lasting energy for your mountain bike adventures. When it comes time to replenish, you can charge the battery pack on or off the bike using the high-speed charger. Yamaha’s unique side docking battery mount allows for a frame design with a lower stand-over height, which provides confidence and stability out on the trail. Exclusive to Yamaha Power Assist Bicycles is a speed sensor engineered into the rear hub. This sensor recognizes the slightest change in bicycle speed and helps adjust motor input to deliver a smooth and natural power assist feel for the ultimate ride experience. And to display ride information, YDX TORC’s multi-function LCD display offers easy-to-read info such as battery level, average and maximum speed, and cadence, to name a few. Plus, there’s a USB power supply port and Bluetooth connectivity to round out the package.

YDX TORC is equipped with a RockShox Recon Gold RL fork featuring 120mm of travel, compression adjustment, and remote lock out. A wide gear range and 11-speed shifting duties are handled by Shimano’s excellent SLX drivetrain. For strong, dependable braking in all conditions, the bike is equipped with powerful Shimano SLX hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors. Cable housing guides and housing ports offer clean cable management as well as internal or external dropper post routing. A set of durable alloy wheels utilize thru axles for added stiffness, and come wrapped in grippy Maxxis Ardent tires for excellent traction on a variety of surfaces.
